For Attorneys
Information for Attorneys | OWCP Behavioral Health Services
Federal Injury Behavioral Health provides structured psychological services and documentation for federal employees with work-related mental health injuries under the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP).
Our services are designed to support clinical care and documentation consistency within OWCP cases. We operate as a clinical provider and do not offer legal opinions or advocacy.
Why Psychological Documentation Matters in OWCP Cases
OWCP claims are frequently delayed or denied due to documentation issues rather than the absence of legitimate symptoms.
Common challenges include:
-
Inconsistent diagnostic language
-
Narrative-style therapy notes
-
Shifting diagnoses over time
-
Documentation that lacks functional or occupational
Our Clinical Model
The OWCP Division operates through a team-based clinical model focused on:
-
Diagnostic consistency
-
Functionally oriented documentation
-
Standardized clinical language
-
Continuity of care across providers
